The Comparison Game
I wanted to bring up something I heard in church this week which can easily apply to us all especially coming off of Labor Day. That something is "The Comparison Game."
It's so easy to get caught up in everyone's pictures from the long weekend of boating, cookouts, lake parties etc. You may have had an awesome three days but then scrolling social media and comparing yourself to everyone else leaves you feeling not good enough.
The only way to get out of that funk is to be grateful for what you have and STOP always striving for what someone else has. If not we're constantly in a circle of wanting this "thing." Then we get that "thing" and suddenly we look over to our right and we need that "thing." The game never stops and we're never satisfied. It's EXHAUSTING.
THE BEAUTY BOOST: "Comparison is the thief of joy."
So the challenge is to take a hard look at your own life. The things you DO have. And be grateful. Be thankful. Realize the grass isn't always greener over on Suzie's IG page. You get the picture.
