Kylea Davis

Name & tell us about you:
Hi I am Kylea! I am a Yoga Teacher in Columbus! I love connecting with my community through fitness, volunteering & food! You can catch me throughout the week yoga-ing, supporting local CSA programs, or volunteering. I love being active outdoors and traveling. My partner and I have made it a goal to travel and explore, whether near or far from home. I have a cat named Moon and well, he is AMAZING. He is my shadow around the house and my early morning snuggle bug.

Recommended book and brief why:
Eastern Body, Western Mind: A philosophy book that is easily digestible that looks at both eastern & western philosophy.

Favorite podcast:
Girlboss Radio with Sophia Amoruso
She started Nasty Gal Fitness, her self discovery and all around badassery (am I allowed to say that?) makes her an inspiration. She is also really funny and I haven't listened to a podcast of hers I didn't love.

Best grocery or meal prep tip:
YellowBird FoodShed is a Multi Farm CSA (Think fresh, local and organic food that is in season). Their weekly food box deliveries is where I get 98% of my groceries. With the produce box you also get storage directions for each produce & recipe suggestions. BOOM

Best workout studio or online class you've taken lately:
Cycle Bar Easton, Go take Christina Wilson's class. She is inspiring, kind, funny & engaging. She will KICK YOUR BUTT.

How do you stay organized:
My calendar! I keep both a digital & physical calendar.  I use the Passion Planner as my physical calendar. It's a road map, calendar & passion organizer built into one. I use it to get a broad overview of my week & month to make sure I am not over committing myself.

I use my digital calendar for every day tasking. Every job/category has it's own color. Including fitness, personal time, house activities, events related to my boyfriend, travel, work (I have 6 different jobs technically, so six different colors). Sounds overwhelming, I know. But it provides visual clarity and organizing of my day-to-day. I am also slightly obsessed. I also put in task! Want help getting set up this way? Reach out!

Favorite quote or mantra:
Kindness always

Best time savers:
See my organization tips ^
Setting this up has actually allowed my to enjoy my free time more because I don't feel like I am scrambling to get the next thing done or figure out whats next. Also - Siri. If I don't have time to do something in the moment but know I will in say, an hour - "Hey Siri remind me in an hour to do...." Then in an hour I get a reminder and it gets done without stress and in time!

Favorite local hangout (restaurant, bar, recreation):
South Village Grill on Thurman and Jaeger in German Village!
