Name & tell us about you:
Hey cuties! This is Vineela Parimi (please call me Vinny), an Indian girl living the American dream. I grew up in India and moved to the US (Columbus) seven years ago after getting married to my husband. I instantly felt a connection with this city and I haven't stopped loving it ever since. I am a Business Analyst at an IT Consulting firm and I currently work at the Ohio Department of Medicaid helping them build a modernized Medicaid System for the citizens of Ohio. I am very passionate about fitness and helping others adopt a healthy life style. I love to travel, explore new places, bars, and restaurants in Columbus with my husband and my friends.
Recommended book and brief why:
“Becoming” by Michelle Obama. I don’t think it needs any introduction. This book is more than just an auto biography. Her story is very enlightening and insightful. I can’t recommend it more.
Ed Mylett Show. Very motivational. I learnt some serious life lessons from Ed Mylett’s podcast.
Best grocery or meal prep tip:
Make sure you check the list of ingredients before you buy anything. The less ingredients the better.
Best workout studio or online class you've taken lately:
I love a good boxing class at Title Boxing club, Powell. You can find me there at least five days a week if I am not traveling. If anyone ever want to try a boxing class, don’t forget to give me a shout.
How do you stay organized:
Honestly, I like the old fashioned way of writing down things and making to-do lists. I am much more organized when I write things. I also love Google calendar.
Favorite quote or mantra:
I am enough.
Best time savers:
Audio books are life changing. I have a long commute (40 minutes each way) to work every day and I always used to stress out that I am wasting a lot of time in my day driving back and forth to work. One of my friends introduced me to audio books and girl, my drives are nothing but productive now.
Favorite local hangout (restaurant, bar, recreation):
I love going anywhere and spending good time with friends. I have a long list of places I love to go in Columbus. If I have to pick one, my current favorite is Juniper.
What does beauty mean to you?
The happier you are, the more beautiful you become.
