Money Makeover- 5 Simple Shifts to Feel More in Control of Your Finances
Hey Gal! Happy Monday!
One of the topics I hear women tell me they want more of is MONEY AND MONEY MINDSET.
Being “good with money” isn't about having a finance degree or earning six figures—it's about getting clear, building habits, and making your money work for you.
Check out these 5 shifts n tips below that I personally have adopted and swear by:
1. Automate the Basics
You don't need to micromanage every dollar, but you can set up systems that save you from last-minute panic. Think: automatic monthly transfers to savings based on your goals, setting bills to auto-pay always, sending a certain amount each month towards your investments for the year.
2. Give Your Money a Job
Be intentional with your money. Start simple: what are your 3-4 money goals right now? (Think: paying off a credit card, building a bigger emergency fund, saving for a major trip, adopting a kid.) Even small amounts help when you know what they're working toward.
3. Create a Weekly “Money Date”
Set a 15-minute weekly check-in—look at what you spent, what's coming up, and how you feel about where you're at. No guilt, just awareness. This one habit can seriously shift your confidence. I put this on my calendar on repeat and just tackle it.
4. Know Your “Enough” Number
You don't need to chase someone else's version of success. Take some time to figure out what you truly need to feel safe and satisfied each month. That number is your anchor—your reminder that more isn't always better if it comes with burnout.
5. Surround Yourself with Real Talk Women
If no one in your life talks about money, it's time to open up the convo. This ones HUGE. Chat with a friend about budgeting apps, share a savings goal, or start following women online who are real, honest, and smart with money. Normalizing money talk is a game-changer.
PS One of the best things I did for myself was find the RIGHT financial planner to help me create my “dream life” then work backwards from that. If you don't have a financial planner, reach out and we can help connect you<3
