HER STORY ⟡ Danielle Caster

Today, we are meeting Danielle Caster, Clinical Herbalist!

Why I started?

I started my business after going through my own health struggles and feeling let down by the modern medical system. I was searching for more holistic, natural ways to feel better and that journey led me to herbalism. What started as a love for gardening turned into a deep passion for understanding the medicinal power of plants. I spent four years studying how herbs interact with the body, and as I began to notice real, lasting changes in my own health, I knew I wanted to help others experience the same. Herbalism gets to the root of what's going on, it doesn’t just mask symptoms with a pill. I became especially passionate about helping women like me, those who often put their own health last because they’re so busy caring for everyone else.

What I love about being a business owner?

What I love most about being a business owner is the pride that comes with it. Knowing I built something from the ground up. I love the freedom to be my own boss, make my own rules, and create a schedule that works for both me and my family. That flexibility is everything. But don’t get me wrong, being a solo entrepreneur isn’t easy. You end up wearing all the hats, most of which you didn’t go to school for. One minute I’m an herbalist, the next I’m a website designer, social media manager, newsletter writer, and market promoter. It’s been a steep learning curve, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding.

What type of impact do you hope to have on those you meet and/or who purchase your products?

I hope to have a lasting impact on the people I work with, helping them feel supported, seen, and capable of making meaningful change. My goal is to meet each person exactly where they are and offer steady, personalized guidance that fits their life. I want them to feel set up for success, so they can achieve their goals and achieve lasting changes to their health.

Who or what inspires you?

My clients, hands down. When you come to work with me, you really have to take a hard look at what got you to the place you are now. Sometimes that is hard for people. My clients are dedicated to making the changes they want to see within their health. I might give them guidance but ultimately it is them doing the hard work to make the changes. And when we meet for follow up sessions and their headaches are gone, or their periods are no longer debilitating or after months of deep nourishment they have finally conceived, there really is nothing that inspires me more. It is truly rewarding working with these amazing women.

What is your favorite piece of advice you’ve ever received or favorite quote?

Just start. There is never going to be a right time. Life doesn’t tend to give us breaks from the chaos. If you have a goal and want to achieve it, just start! Even if that means taking small action each month, just begin. You are worth it.

What does BEAUTY mean to you?

To me, beauty is so much more than what we see in magazines. True beauty lives in the uniqueness of each and every one of us. In our bodies, in our kindness, in our capacity for empathy and selflessness. I believe our bodies are incredibly beautiful and worthy of gratitude every single day. I also see beauty in nature, in the plants, and in the way they work in harmony with our bodies to bring us back into balance. There’s something deeply beautiful about that synergy between human and plant, body and earth. That’s the kind of beauty I see and celebrate.

What advice would you give your past self just getting started in your business?

The advice I’d give my past self is this: the more you do something, the less scary it becomes. Imposter syndrome is so common when you're starting something new, especially in a service-based business where you’re essentially putting yourself out there, not just a product. I remember feeling so nervous and unsure at my first in-person event. But looking back, it wasn’t because I wasn’t capable, it was just because I had never done it before. The fear was in the unknown. So I’d tell myself (and anyone else just starting out): go to the events, talk to people, share what you do, and trust that your people are out there. Each time it will get easier. I promise.

What would you like our Beauty Boost members to know?

I feel so lucky to have met so many incredible women through Beauty Boost events. I genuinely enjoy every conversation I get to have, and connecting with people in person at these gatherings is always a highlight for me. I leave every event feeling inspired to be surrounded by such a supportive, like-minded community.

While I am based in Sacramento, California, I work with clients virtually across the country. I'm passionate about supporting women in feeling nourished, finding balance and reclaiming their health with confidence and care. Virtual sessions allow me to do just that, no matter where they are located.
