HER STORY ⟡ DeAnna of Behal Duvall Law Group, LLC

My name is DeAnna and I am both a partner and the Director of Domestic Relations Department for Behal Duvall Law Group, LLC. I became an attorney in 2011 and quickly found my niche in domestic law, particularly when working with business owners and high-asset individuals. I thrive when helping clients navigate the complexities of their personal and financial lives, while keeping a strategic eye on their long-term goals.

At Behal Duvall Law Group, LLC, we take a holistic, intersectional approach to client service. We pride ourselves on being a one-stop shop—offering everything from business incorporation and litigation to divorce and estate planning. We understand how important it is to approach each case from multiple angles, and our team works together to provide comprehensive solutions that meet the full spectrum of our clients' needs.

When I’m not in the office, you can usually find me playing with my children, engaged in volunteer projects at my children’s school, on the tennis court, or spending time with friends. Whether it’s unwinding with a good book or catching up over a night out, I believe in balancing hard work with time for relaxation and connection.

Why I started:

I became an attorney after graduating college with degrees in both economics and political science. I saw a unique opportunity to guide individuals and businesses in making informed, strategic decisions that would have a lasting impact on their financial well-being. Today, I’m proud to be a partner in a firm that specializes in providing holistic legal services to business owners. Being able to blend my financial expertise with legal knowledge has allowed me to support clients in navigating complex situations while empowering them to secure their financial future.

What I love about being a business owner

I love being a business owner because it gives me the flexibility to pursue my passions while also being an involved mom. Running my own business allows me to set my own schedule, so I can prioritize family time and be there for the important moments with my children. At the same time, I’m able to channel my creativity and energy into something I’m truly passionate about, which brings me a sense of fulfillment and joy. It’s the perfect balance of personal and professional growth, and I feel lucky to have the freedom to do both.

What type of impact do you hope to have on those you meet (represent)?

I hope to empower the individuals I represent and help them achieve the best possible outcome in every aspect of their lives. Whether it's navigating challenges, pursuing goals, or making important decisions, my goal is to ensure that others have the information they need to take control of their future and create positive, meaningful change in their lives. My ultimate aim is to see them succeed, thrive, and reach their highest potential.

Who or what inspires you?

I am most inspired by those trailblazing women who paved the way in their own careers, overcoming tremendous odds to ensure that we, as women today, have the best chance at achieving equal footing. Their courage, resilience, and determination to break barriers have been instrumental in shaping the opportunities we now have. From leaders like Ruth Bader Ginsburg to trailblazers in industries like technology, business, and science, these women show us that it’s possible to create change through perseverance.

What is your favorite piece of advice you’ve received or favorite quote?

You don’t get what you don’t ask for.

What does beauty mean to you?

To me, beauty isn't just about appearance; it's about a sense of empowerment and fulfillment that comes from within. One important aspect of beauty is financial independence—it represents the ability to stand on your own, make choices, and build a life that aligns with your values and dreams. This kind of freedom is deeply beautiful because it creates a life filled with purpose, confidence, and the power to shape your own future.

What advice would you give your past self just starting your business? Trust and believe in yourself. Surround yourself with strong people with common goals. Most importantly, remember that your hard work will pay off, and it’s going to take about ten years for everything to “click”. Therefore, don’t give up on your dreams but be willing to adjust your expectations based on the difficulties you will most certainly encounter. Nothing in life stays the same so embrace change as your friend.

What would you like our Beauty Boost members to know? It is never too late to make a change in your life. Whether that is reevaluating your relationships, starting a new or leveling up your current business, living authentically and pursuing your passions is the best thing you can do for yourself.
