Hello Beauties!! I’m Lisbeth Nuques, the proud Owner, Clinical Aesthetician, and PMU Artist behind Glow Aesthetics Clinical Skincare | PMU | Lash & Brow Studio.
My journey in healthcare spans over two decades, beginning with medical school in Guayaquil, Ecuador, where I graduated as a Medical Doctor in 2006. In 2007, I moved to California, pursuing my goal of specializing in dermatology. Starting over in a new country came with challenges that ultimately reshaped my path.
As I became a wife and mother, I focused on supporting my family while continuing to work in healthcare. I gained hands-on experience as a medical assistant in cardiology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, and dermatology offices. It was during my time in dermatology that I discovered the powerful role clinical estheticians play in treating and transforming the skin.
My passion for skin health was undeniable. I enrolled in esthetics school, earned my Clinical Aesthetician license , and began working at a medical spa in Dana Point, where I gained extensive clinical experience. I spent over 10 years refining my skills and deepening my expertise.
Today, I specialize in treating acne, melasma, rosacea, and aging skin, always with a results-driven and educational approach. I believe informed clients achieve the best outcomes, which is why education is at the core of every treatment I provide. I am also a proud member of the Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP), staying current with the latest advancements in clinical skincare and aesthetics.
When I’m not at Glow Aesthetics, I’m recharging at the gym, caring for our home, and spending time with my three daughters and my husband, who is the king of our hearts. Life with three princesses keeps us busy and full of joy.
On a personal note, I’m a fitness enthusiast, a fashionista at heart, a travel lover, and happiest near the beach.

Why I started?
My passion for skin health began personally, after struggling with years of acne. I visited dermatologists, tried countless treatments and products, yet nothing truly worked. It wasn’t until I began receiving consistent clinical facials that my acne finally resolved. That experience changed everything.
During my second pregnancy, while working at a medical spa, my supervisor—a master esthetician—guided and treated my skin with intention and expertise. Watching my skin heal firsthand made me realize the profound impact we can have on someone’s confidence and quality of life through proper skin care. That was the moment I knew I could help others.
Through my experience, I noticed a significant gap between traditional day spas and medical spas. I envisioned something different—where medical knowledge, clinical esthetics, and personalized care come together to treat real skin concerns.
I decided to create a space that blends my medical background with my esthetic expertise, focusing on the most common skin conditions I see daily: acne, melasma, rosacea, and aging skin. To complete the experience, I incorporated the beauty side of aesthetics, including lash extensions, lip blushing, and brow waxing and shaping—because feeling confident is both skin health and beauty combined.
That vision became Glow Aesthetics—a clinical skincare and beauty studio that delivers results-driven treatments with truly individualized care.
Since opening in May 2023 our mission has remained clear: to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and understood, and to help you look and feel your absolute best through healthy, radiant skin.
What I love about being a business owner:
I love that my work allows me to truly connect with people, help them feel confident in their own skin, and be part of their transformation. Every smile I see after a final result fills my heart with joy and gives me a deep sense of fulfillment. At the same time, this career allows me to be fully present for my three princesses—never missing important moments, milestones, or events—and to spend meaningful time with my husband. Being able to set my own schedule gives me the balance I value so deeply. Family is my top priority, and I feel incredibly blessed that my work allows me to honor both my passion and my family every single day.
What type of impact do you hope to have on those you meet and or purchase your products or your treatments?
I hope that everyone I meet—or who chooses my services or products—feels genuinely cared for and understood. I want them to see and experience my honesty, knowledge, and professionalism, and to feel a deep sense of trust in the care they receive.
More than anything, I hope they leave feeling confident, educated, and empowered to take care of their skin, knowing they are in safe, ethical, and experienced hands.
Who or what inspires you?
I’m deeply inspired by God, whose guidance, grace, and blessings have carried me through every chapter of my life. My faith grounds me, gives me purpose, and reminds me to lead with humility, integrity, and compassion.
I’m inspired by my family—especially my three daughters, who motivate me every day to lead by example and show them the importance of resilience, kindness, and faith.
My husband is a constant source of strength and support. His belief in me, partnership, and encouragement inspire me to keep moving forward, both personally and professionally.
I’m also inspired by my mother, whose sacrifices, strength, and unconditional love shaped the woman I am today. Her values continue to guide the way I care for others.
I’m equally inspired by my friends, whose encouragement and loyalty remind me of the power of community and shared growth.
I’m inspired by my own journey—from medical school in Ecuador to rebuilding my career in a new country, balancing motherhood, and creating a business rooted in education, trust, and service.
Finally, I’m inspired by my clients—their trust, stories, and transformations. Seeing their confidence grow is a daily reminder of why I do what I do and whom I serve.
What is your favorite piece of advice you’re ever received or favorite quote?
”Trust God’s timing.”
Throughout my life—moving to a new country, rebuilding my career, becoming a wife and mother, and building my business—this advice has reminded me that even when the path isn’t clear, every season has a purpose. What feels like a delay is often preparation.
It’s a daily reminder to move forward with faith, patience, and gratitude, knowing that what’s meant for me will unfold exactly when it should.
What does beauty mean to you ?
To me, beauty is confidence, self-care, and authenticity. It starts from within—how you treat yourself, how you care for your body and mind, and how you show up for others.
As a skincare professional, I believe beauty is not about perfection or trends, but about healthy skin, education, and consistency. When someone feels good in their own skin, it shows in their posture, their smile, and their energy. True beauty is also kindness, gratitude, and faith—embracing who you are, honoring your journey, and allowing your inner light to reflect outward
What advice would you give your past self just starting your business?
I would tell my past self to trust the process and believe in your vision, even when progress feels slow. Not everything needs to be perfect at the beginning—consistency, integrity, and patience matter more than perfection.
I would remind myself that education and authenticity are your greatest strengths, and that building trust takes time but is always worth it. Don’t be afraid to charge your worth, set boundaries, and say no when something doesn’t align with your values.
Most importantly, I’d tell myself to lean on God, protect your family time, and enjoy the journey—because growth happens quietly before it becomes visible.
