Am I actually living my life, or the life I think I'm supposed to want?
Hey gal. Happy Monday!
It's easy to wake up one day and realize you've been living on autopilot.
This is what pushed me to create TBB 10+ years ago. I felt I was just “going through the motions.” This question is so simple but can literally change the trajectory of our lives: Is this the life I actually want?
See 5 questions below to help you decide if you're aligned with your life or if you want to begin some changes to a different path.
1. Decide what success means before the world decides for you.
Success isn't one destination. It might be building a business, raising a family, traveling often, doing van life, becoming financially free, adopting, and on. If you don't define success yourself, you'll spend your life chasing someone else's version of it.
2. Build a life around your values—not your résumé.
A résumé tells the world what you've accomplished. Your values determine how your life actually feels. Ask yourself: Does the way I spend my time reflect what matters most to me? Values are just a word on a paper until we apply action behind them.
3. Stop optimizing a life you don't actually want.
We spend so much energy trying to become more efficient, more productive, more organized. But before you optimize your life, ask yourself if it's actually the life you want to be optimizing in the first place.
4. Choose people who expand your world.
The people around you quietly shape what's "normal." Spend time with people who inspire you to dream bigger and share your values.
5. Remember: your life is allowed to change.
The life you wanted at 25 doesn't have to be the life you want at 35 or 55. You're allowed to outgrow dreams, redefine priorities, and change direction. Growth isn't inconsistency—it's evidence that you're paying attention.
At The Beauty Boost, we've never believed there's one "right" way to live.
We simply believe women deserve the space to discover what a meaningful life looks like for them—through new experiences, genuine friendships, and the courage to keep growing.
Because at the end of the day, the goal isn't to build an impressive life.
It's to build one that feels like yours.
