From Corporate America to Beauty Glow—Jody Toth’s New Chapter in Confident Aging
After more than 40 years in corporate America, Jody Toth was ready for a change—one that would bring together her passion for healthy living, skincare, and helping others feel confident at every age. What began with a personal love of Olive Tree People’s waterless beauty and wellness products soon grew into Beauty Glow, her independent skincare & beauty business serving Western New York and beyond. Through Beauty Glow, Jody is creating more than a beauty brand. She is building a community centered on self-care, meaningful connection, and the belief that beauty, vitality, and new possibilities have no expiration date.
Tell us about yourself and how Beauty Glow began.
After spending more than 40 years in corporate America, I was ready to begin a new chapter—one that combined my love of helping people with my passion for healthy living, skincare, and aging confidently. I first discovered Olive Tree People because I fell in love with its waterless beauty and wellness products. Initially, I simply wanted to enjoy the consultant discount. But as I learned more about the company and the business opportunity, I realized I had found something I genuinely wanted to share. That passion inspired me to create Beauty Glow.
Why did you start Beauty Glow?
I started Beauty Glow because I want to help others feel comfortable and confident in their own skin while making healthier choices for their overall well-being. What began as a love for the products quickly became a passion for the mission and the opportunity. I saw the potential to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives—and I knew I had to share it with others.
What do you love most about being a business owner?
The flexibility is one of the things I value most. I can build my business around my life, work from almost anywhere, meet incredible people, and continue learning and growing. I also love having the freedom to create something that reflects my personal values. Beauty Glow allows me to help others, build genuine relationships, and encourage women to recognize new possibilities for themselves—at any age or stage of life.
What impact do you hope to have on the people you serve?
I want people to feel more confident in their own bodies and empowered to take care of themselves from the inside out. My goal is to help women embrace aging with confidence and discover that beauty, vitality, and new opportunities do not have an expiration date. We may not be able to turn back the clock, but we can feel radiant, energized, and beautiful at every age.
Who or what inspires you?
The people I speak with every day inspire me. Everyone has a story, a challenge they have overcome, or a dream they are working toward. Listening to those stories reminds me how resilient people are and motivates me to keep learning, growing, and helping wherever I can.
What is your favorite advice or quote?
“If you want different results, you have to be willing to do something different.” That reminder has encouraged me to embrace change, step outside my comfort zone, and remain open to new possibilities.
What does beauty mean to you?
Beauty is so much more than physical appearance. It is an attitude, an energy, and a presence. Beauty is remaining positive during difficult circumstances and spreading joy whenever possible. It is forgiving others, showing kindness even when it isn’t easy, and treating people with compassion. It is remaining humble, genuine, and authentic—regardless of success or status. To me, true beauty begins within and is reflected in how we make others feel.
What advice would you give yourself before starting a business?
You do not have to know everything, and you may never feel completely ready. Trust your instincts, surround yourself with people who know more than you do, and never be afraid to ask questions. Most importantly, give yourself permission to learn as you go. Progress matters far more than perfection.
What would you like Beauty Boost members to know about you?
I love change, meeting new people, and seeing women genuinely support one another. I believe there is incredible power in women encouraging women—and when we work together instead of competing, there is no limit to what we can accomplish. Women are shaping the future, and I am proud to be part of a community that celebrates their stories, talents, and dreams.
