HER STORY ⟡ Kaitlyn of SUGAR Skin Studio
Ready to Feel More Confident in Your Skin? Kaitlyn of SUGAR Skin Studio Shares Her Glow-Up Philosophy ✨
Why did you start?
I started skin when I was a makeup artist, realizing that everything starts with a healthy base. From there I got into sugaring when I wanted something more flexible. I fell in love with the process and how it made my clients feel about themselves. Same thing with spray tanning. It gives clients such a new sense of confidence at any time of year, no matter what they are doing or going through. All of the services together help women feel their absolute best.
What I love about being a business owner?
The growth. I love constantly moving toward a new goal and setting goals for myself, vs someone setting them for me. It’s finding my worth in the industry I love and getting to show up for my clients; being my absolute best every day with no one holding me back.
What type of impact do you hope to have on those you meet and/or who purchase your products?
When clients meet me for the first time I want them to feel empowered, sexy, and always excited to come back for their next appointment. I love to hear all about their day and what makes them feel amazing. If they’re having a hard day I want to hear all about it and help them problem solve and realize that there is good somewhere in the bad. I look to be more than just a sugarist or esthetician, I really want to make a positive impact for every client, so they feel comfortable coming in no matter what is going on in their life.
Who or what inspires you?
My parents. My dad, who passed away 3 years ago, would be so proud of me. He always pushed me to do more and go after what I wanted. He worked 80 hour weeks to make sure my family always had what we needed. And my mom owns her private practice as a clinical counselor. She helps me a lot with business, helping me see my full potential/worth. This was a huge reason I realized I decided to open my own business.
Favorite advice or quote?
THE Audrey Hepburn “True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul.”
What does Beauty mean to you?
To me beauty is how you carry yourself, how you feel, and how you treat others. If one of these is off, it affects everything.
What advice would you give yourself just starting your business?
Just GO for it. Don’t be scared of anyone else’s opinions. They’ll be ok, and you will thrive.
What would you like beauty boost members to know?
I am SO excited to meet you all!!!
