Hello, I’m Shelley! I’m a real estate agent with RE/MAX Partners in Dublin, Ohio, where I’ve been fortunate to build a top-producing business by focusing on strong market knowledge and a client-centered approach.
Why I started:
I started my real estate career while working in oncology pharmaceutical research because I discovered how much I loved the creativity and strategy involved in real estate. I had already begun investing in properties and designing spaces, and I realized that helping people find and transform homes brought me a different kind of fulfillment. Real estate allowed me to combine analysis, negotiation, design, and human connection in a way that truly energized me.
What I love about being a business owner:
I love the ability to build something meaningful that reflects my values. Being a business owner allows me to create my own vision for how clients are served, how relationships are built, and how homes are marketed and designed. It also allows me to continuously grow, innovate, and collaborate with amazing people.
What type of impact I hope to have:
I hope people feel confident, supported, and inspired after working with me. Buying or selling a home often happens during major life transitions, and my goal is to help people move through those moments with clarity and optimism rather than fear. I want people to feel that they had a true partner guiding them through the process.
Who or what inspires you:
I’m inspired by people who build beautiful things. Whether that’s a home, a business, a family, or a community. I’m also deeply inspired by great design and architecture, and by entrepreneurs who are willing to reinvent themselves and pursue work that truly aligns with their passions.
Favorite piece of advice or quote:
One of my favorite ideas is: “Start before you feel ready.” Many of the best opportunities in life happen when we’re willing to take a step forward before everything feels perfectly certain.
What does BEAUTY mean to you:
Beauty, to me, is harmony. When a space, a person, or a moment feels authentic and balanced. In homes, beauty is about creating spaces that support the way people truly live and feel. In life, beauty is about kindness, confidence, and the courage to evolve.
Advice to my past self starting out:
Trust your instincts sooner. The skills you’ve developed throughout your life are transferable and valuable in ways you may not initially realize. The more you lean into what you naturally love, i.e. design, people, strategy, the faster success will follow.
What I would like Beauty Boost members to know:
Your path does not have to be linear to be successful. Some of the most rewarding careers are built by combining different passions and experiences. Stay curious, take risks, and give yourself permission to evolve. Often the most exciting chapters come when you least expect them.
