The Life You Want Isn't Going to Happen by Accident: 6 Ways to Create a Life You Actually Love
Hey Gal! Happy Monday!
Most women don't wake up one day with incredible friendships, great health, confidence, a packed social calendar, and a life that feels exciting.
They build it--through hundreds of small decisions made consistently over time.
The life you want is being shaped right now by the decisions you're making every day.
If you want more connection, better health, greater confidence, and a stronger sense of purpose, here are 7 practical ways to start creating that life today.
1. Audit Your Calendar
Want to know what you truly prioritize? Look at your calendar.
Your future is hidden inside your schedule.
Ask yourself:
How many hours did I spend investing in myself this month?
How many new experiences have I had recently?
How much time did I spend building relationships?
Did I attend anything that challenged or inspired me?
If your weeks consist solely of work, errands, and scrolling social media, it's not surprising if life feels repetitive.
Action Step: Schedule one wellness event, workout class, workshop, or social activity before the end of this week.
2. Stop Waiting for Someone to Invite You
One of the biggest reasons women struggle with making friends as adults is that everyone is waiting for someone else to make the first move. I literally met my college best friends (who I'm still friends with today) by inviting myself into their plans;)
Action Step: Reach out to one woman you've been wanting to get coffee with and put a date on the calendar today.
3. Create a "Life List" Instead of a To-Do List
Most women have endless to-do lists. Very few have a list dedicated to actually living.
A life list might include:
Take a girls trip
Attend a wellness retreat (we have one this summer!)
Learn pickleball
Join a book club
Volunteer locally
Try a new fitness class
Action Step: Write down 20 experiences you'd love to have in the next 12 months.
4. Put Yourself in Rooms Where Growth Happens
Confidence is built through action and following through on commitments you make to yourself.
The fastest way to grow personally and professionally is to consistently place yourself in environments where you can learn, connect, and expand your perspective.
That's why workshops, women's networking events, wellness retreats, and community gatherings can be so transformative.
You don't leave as the same person who walked in.
Action Step: Commit to attending at least one personal development, wellness, or community event each month.
5. Build a Wellness Routine That Fits Real Life
Health isn't about perfection. It's about consistency. Little choices over n over.
Start small:
Daily walk
Strength training 2-3 times per week
More protein and vegetables
Better sleep habits
Less time on your phone
Small actions compound faster than occasional bursts of motivation.
Action Step: Choose one health habit to focus on for the next 30 days.
6. Curate Your Circle
The people around you influence your mindset, habits, confidence, and ambitions.
Ask yourself:
Who energizes me?
Who inspires me?
Who supports my goals?
Who challenges me to grow?
If you're craving a different life, you may need to intentionally expand your circle.
This is one reason women's communities and social groups can be so powerful—they create opportunities to meet people you may never have crossed paths with otherwise.
Action Step: Introduce yourself to three new women at the next event you attend with TBB.
