Your Life Needs More Micro-Adventures

Hey there! Happy Monday!

At some point, life can get VERY predictable.

Same workout.
Same restaurants.
Same everything.

And then we wonder why we feel bored.

You probably don't need to quit your job, move to Bali or book a two-week vacation.

You might just need more things in your life that you've never done before.

We're calling them micro-adventures.

Small breaks from your normal routine that make a random week feel a little more like you're actually LIVING it.

So here's your challenge:

Do ONE every week for the next month.

1. THE 20-MILE RULE
Pull up the map. Find somewhere within 20 miles you've never actually explored. Pick a neighborhood, small town, park, market or part of your own city you always drive past. Go spend two hours there with no errands attached.

2. THE “I WOULD NEVER DO THAT” CLASS
Not another version of the workout you already do. Try the thing that feels slightly ridiculous for you. Boxing. Pottery wheel. Aerial yoga. Improv. Salsa. Rock climbing. Glass blowing. Trapeze. You are specifically looking for something you're going to be bad at.

3. THE $50 MYSTERY SATURDAY
Give yourself $50 and four hours. Leave your house without a full itinerary. You can have ONE destination to start. After that, follow whatever looks interesting. Estate sale? Stop. Weird roadside shop? Go in. Festival you didn't know existed? Park the car. The entire point is not knowing exactly how the day is going to go.

4. THE “YES, I'LL GO” RULE
For one week, notice the things you automatically talk yourself out of. The invite where you barely know anyone. The event your friend sends you. The random Tuesday night thing. If your only reason for saying no is ehhh, I don't know... — go.

Because here's the thing:

A fun life isn't something you stumble into.

Someone has to make the reservation.
Say yes.
Walk into the room.

And sometimes that someone has to be you.

You don't need a completely different life.

You might just need to stop living the exact same week over and over again.
