Cheers! I’m Amanda Ortega from Springfield, Oh, where I’m raising four incredible kids and building a life rooted in intention, community, and wellness. I’m the Founder & CEO of Beyond Bottleshop, a boutique retail and distribution platform to elevate the non‑alcoholic and functional beverage culture in Central Ohio. After years in hospitality; from running a food truck to opening a restaurant and wine shop; I shifted toward wellness and realized how few high‑quality, intentionally crafted NA options existed.
Why I started:
I needed a path that aligned with presence, purpose and authenticity. I was burnt out from traditional hospitality, and craving a creative outlet that didn’t pull me away from my kids. The non-alcoholic space blends my sommelier background with my desire to help people feel seen and supported.
What I love about being a business owner:
I love building something rooted in intention; that feels aligned with my values and my life. Designing my days around my kids and my wellbeing is a gift; and helping people discover drinks that make them feel empowered and excited is incredibly fulfilling. Watching someone realize they do have options never gets old.
What type of impact do you hope to have?
I hope people feel informed and respected when they use Beyond Bottleshop. Whether it’s exploring ingredients; finding functional drinks, or simply choosing a vibe based on how they want to feel, I love helping them navigate. My goal is to make this world less intimidating and more empowering; encouraging people to build rituals that support their wellbeing.
Who or what inspires you?
I’m inspired by the women in my life who lead with courage and vulnerability; by my kids who remind me to stay curious and joyful; and by the hospitality and wellness movements that shaped and transformed me. The communities forming around Beyond Bottleshop continue to motivate me every day.
Favorite advice or quote:
“Show up with intention, stay rooted in who you are, and trust the path you’re building.” It reminds me that authenticity is always the strongest foundation.
What does BEAUTY mean to you?
Beauty, to me, is a sense of lightness — joy, trust, evolution, and not taking yourself too seriously. It’s the alignment between your inner and outer world, that moment when you’re living in your truth. That’s when we’re all at our most beautiful.
What advice would you give your past self?
Start now — you’re more ready than you think. You don’t need permission or perfection; you just need the courage to take the first step. Everything else will meet you along the way.
