Why High-Achieving Women Are Turning to Breathwork — And What It Actually Does

Hey all!

My name is Andrea, and I’m a certified HypnoBreathwork® facilitator & subconscious coach.

Why I started:

My relationship with breathwork didn’t begin as a career move. It started because I needed something that actually worked.

Earlier in my professional life, I spent years in high-pressure corporate environments where I was performing well on paper, but felt increasingly disconnected from myself. I was successful, yet constantly operating in urgency and mental overdrive. Breathwork was one of the first tools that helped me experience what it felt like to slow down without falling behind.

During a period of deep pain and hurt I returned to breathwork, mindfulness, and hypnosis with more intention and began attending weekly virtual breathwork classes. Showing up week after week created a sense of grounding and connection that felt stabilizing during a time when I didn’t feel very steady internally.

I pursued formal certification and advanced study in HypnoBreathwork®, neuro-energetics, and hypnosis because I wanted to understand why this work was effective. What started as personal exploration evolved into professional work that aligned naturally with who I had always been: a leader, a mentor, and someone others trusted to hold space with clarity and integrity.

What I love about being a business owner:

I love that my work gives me the freedom to create spaces that are intentional and well-held. Spaces where we don’t have to perform, rush, or prove anything.

As a business owner, this allows me to bring both structure and intuition into my work. My corporate background taught me a lot about pressure, pace, and responsibility. This work allows me to apply that understanding in a way that supports clarity, presence, and sustainable growth rather than constant push.

What type of impact do you hope to have on those you meet and/or who experience your work?

My hope is that people leave feeling more connected to themselves than when they arrived. That might look like clarity, insight, emotional release, or a renewed sense of direction.

Most of all, I want them to know that the answers and guidance they’re looking for already exist within them. One of the most powerful aspects of breathwork is that it’s a tool people can return to on their own, long after a session ends.

Who or what inspires you?

My clients inspire me constantly. Witnessing people show up honestly for themselves, often in moments of uncertainty or transition, is something I never take lightly.

I’m also inspired by my mentors and continued education. I believe that holding space well requires staying engaged in your own growth. The deeper I go in my own work, the more responsibly and clearly I can support others.

What is your favorite piece of advice you’ve ever received or favorite quote?

“You are the master of your life.”

It’s a reminder that even when things feel uncertain or undefined, we still have agency. We get to choose how we respond and what we move toward next. It also reminds me that the future holds just as much potential for growth, opportunity, and meaningful outcomes as it does uncertainty, and that perspective helps me stay open rather than stuck.

What does BEAUTY mean to you?

To me, beauty is authenticity. It’s what shows up when someone stops performing and starts listening to themselves.

Beauty lives in alignment; in choosing what feels true, even when it doesn’t match expectations. In allowing yourself to evolve without needing permission.

What advice would you give your past self just starting your business?

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. Trust your experience. Trust your expertise. And don’t make yourself smaller to fit what feels comfortable for others.

Allow your work to grow as you grow. Depth and confidence come with time, and you don’t need to rush either.

What would you like our Beauty Boost members to know?

I respect the fact that everyone is navigating their own season, questions, and priorities. I believe that most of us already have a strong internal compass, and when we give ourselves space to slow down and listen, clarity tends to follow.

My work is simply about creating thoughtful, well-held spaces where people can check in with themselves and move forward with intention.

I’m grateful to be part of communities and spaces that value intention, growth, and meaningful connection.

Where can our community find you?
