Hi, my name is Sarah Lawson. I am mom to my gals Georgie, Juliette, and our dog Pete. I love travel, being outdoors, and most important I’m a coffee connoisseur. My financial advising practice is with Ameriprise Financial. I help create a healthy mindset about money, whether that’s investing, insurance, budgeting or goal tracking. I believe everyone can benefit from financial guidance. My goals for my clients are to educate them, provide peace of mind, and empower them in their financial decisions.

Why I started:

I knew I wanted something that made me feel my work had a greater purpose in helping others.  It started when I was very young in the back seat of my grandparent's car. They would point out McDonald's golden arches and say “Look! you own a piece of that company”. They lived a full life, feeling financially and emotionally secure. They were not born into money but were able to save and establish their goals to provide for their family. I want to give everyone this opportunity. I would love to help you.

What type of impact do you hope to have on those you meet:

I am super passionate about helping people achieve their life’s dreams by helping them in all areas of their financial life. I strongly believe in the balance of living today and planning for the future. Having goals and a plan makes each of us feel a sense of empowerment, confidence, and peace.. Your journey to financial success can be fun!  My clients can breathe easier, knowing they’ve made smart financial choices in all areas of life, not just investments. My favorite part of being a business owner is watching my clients reach their goals and the transformation that occurs. I want to make my mark by connecting on a real level with each client, walking side by side on their journey. My work isn't just work to me, it’s a defining part of me. I pour my emotions and my energy into ensuring I provide the best advice to my clients.

What is your favorite quote?

I have so many, but if i was to choose one, it would be "Do not squander time, that's the stuff life is made of."

What advice would you give your past self just starting your business?

Enjoy each day. Your determination and deep caring about helping others will show and draw those to you who are supposed to be in your life.
