Today, we are meeting Yesenia Romero, founder of Yesenia Romero Wellness and FuXion Biotech entrepreneur! 

Why I started:

Hi, I’m Yesenia! I’m a microbiologist with 20 years of experience in clinical research and a wellness entrepreneur with FuXion Biotech. My wellness journey started from a place that is very personal to me: wanting to create a healthier lifestyle for myself and my family while helping other families understand that taking care of our health doesn’t have to be complicated. I’ve always been passionate about science and health, and my background in microbiology and clinical research has taught me the importance of evidence, consistency, and prevention. In 2015, I discovered FuXion and began building a business around something I truly believe in: helping people create simple, sustainable wellness habits while also creating an opportunity for financial growth. Today, I love bringing together my scientific background, my passion for wellness, and my entrepreneurial journey to help others improve their everyday lives—one habit at a time.

What I love about being a business owner:
What I love most about being a business owner is the freedom to create something that has meaning beyond myself. I love connecting with people, creating wellness experiences, educating others, and building a community where we can support each other in becoming healthier and more intentional with our lives. I’m also a mom of two, so I deeply value the flexibility entrepreneurship can create. Being able to build a business while being present for my children is something I don’t take for granted. And honestly, I love watching someone discover that they are capable of more—whether that means taking better care of their health, becoming more confident, or realizing they can create an additional source of income for their family.

What type of impact do you hope to have on those you meet and/or who purchase your products?
I hope every person I meet feels that wellness can be simple, approachable, and attainable. Through my wellness business, I want to help families develop better daily habits around hydration, nutrition, movement, and self-care, while using FuXion products as complements to a healthy lifestyle—not as a replacement for medical care or professional advice. But my impact goes beyond the products. I want to encourage people to believe in themselves, take ownership of their goals, and understand that they can prioritize their health without giving up their dreams.

Who or what inspires you?
My children inspire me every day. They remind me why taking care of myself matters and why building something meaningful for the future is so important. I’m also inspired by women who reinvent themselves, start over, pursue their dreams, and choose to believe that there is still more ahead for them. My Colombian roots, my family, my faith, and every woman who has had the courage to start before she felt ready inspire me to keep going.

What is your favorite piece of advice you’ve ever received or favorite quote?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is: “Don’t wait until you feel ready. Start with what you have, where you are, and trust that you will learn along the way.” And one of my favorite reminders is: “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3 It reminds me that I can make plans, work hard, and dream big while still trusting God’s timing.

What does BEAUTY mean to you?
To me, beauty is much more than what we see in the mirror. Beauty is confidence. It is authenticity. It is taking care of yourself because you know you are worth it. It’s embracing the woman you are today while continuing to grow into the woman you are becoming. And I believe there is something incredibly beautiful about a woman who knows her worth, takes care of her health, supports other women, and isn’t afraid to pursue her dreams.

What advice would you give your past self just starting your business?
I would tell her: Stop comparing your beginning to someone else’s middle. Trust your story. Trust your experience. Trust the people you are called to serve. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. You just need to be willing to learn, stay consistent, and keep showing up. And most importantly, don’t be afraid to let people see the real you. Connection will always be more powerful than perfection.

To the amazing Beauty Boost community, I want you to know that you don’t have to choose between taking care of yourself and pursuing your dreams. You can prioritize your health. You can build a business. You can be a mom. You can reinvent yourself. You can start over. You can dream bigger than you ever imagined.
